Our next innovation is enabling healthcare professionals to “call” their digital colleague—not just via text, but through real-time voice, and eventually through video enhanced with a customized digital avatar.
This conversational AI assistant will allow users to speak their needs, streamlining access to personalized recommendations and information—especially valuable in busy, hands-on healthcare environments. By leveraging advanced speech recognition, natural language processing, and cutting-edge generative AI, the assistant will enable smooth, human-like conversations. In the future, a visual avatar can be integrated for video calls, tailored to the branding and requirements of each healthcare organization.
The assignment is to design and develop a proof-of-concept for a multimodal “digital colleague” supporting real-time voice interactions, and to map out steps for incorporating video and a digital avatar. Key challenges include integrating speech-to-text and text-to-speech technology, preserving privacy and security, optimizing user experience, and analyzing both system scalability and cost-effectiveness. You’ll also assess the practical value this solution brings to healthcare workflows. Your deliverables will be a functional prototype, a technical and scalability assessment, and a concise report with actionable recommendations.
