In the healthcare sector, we are developing a SaaS product designed to support healthcare professionals in finding the most appropriate tools for their clients’ needs. Having already implemented a recommendation algorithm, we are now advancing towards a more intuitive solution: a chat interface powered by a large language model (LLM).
This new chat interface enables healthcare professionals to describe their clients’ specific needs in natural language, allowing the LLM to generate tailored recommendations and relevant information. These insights draw upon years of collected data that have been vectorized and integrated into the LLM’s context, and the resulting recommendations are directly actionable through our existing integrations—enabling providers to deploy optimal tools and products seamlessly for their clients.
Given the sensitive nature of healthcare, privacy and ethics are at the forefront of our product’s design. We are committed to ensuring that all solutions not only improve healthcare efficiency but also uphold the highest standards of client confidentiality, data protection, and ethical decision-making. Ongoing refinement focuses on enhancing both usability for professionals and safety for clients.
For this graduation assignment, you will design and prototype an effective strategy for using Large Language Models in healthcare, with a strong emphasis on quality, privacy, transparency, and ethics. Your work will address the accuracy and reliability of LLM-generated outputs, measures for safeguarding patient data and confidentiality, transparency in how recommendations are generated, and ethical considerations such as bias, explainability, and the potential for misinformation. You will deliver both a concise report and a prototype that demonstrate your approach and findings, advancing the responsible implementation of LLM technology within healthcare workflows.
